Snow delays opening for non-critical staff; classes held as scheduled

Due to the snow storm, Princeton University has delayed its opening until 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, for non-critical staff. All critical and essential employees should report to work at their normal duty times. Academic classes will proceed as scheduled.

The Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory is closed and will resume normal operations at 5 p.m. Thursday.

A definition of critical and essential services employees is available on the Office of Human Resources' emergency weather policy.

Students, faculty and staff are advised to check the Princeton home page or call (609) 258-SNOW for weather-related updates.

In addition, the University maintains an Emergency Preparedness website. The environmental health and safety and facilities offices have published a list of tips on pedestrian safety during the winter.
