Bell to discuss role of NGOs in global relief

Peter Bell, former president of the international relief organization CARE USA, will discuss the importance of nongovernmental organizations in global relief and development efforts at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, in 16 Robertson Hall.
Bell's lecture is titled "The Role of Global NGOs in World Politics: The Case of International Relief and Development NGOs."
Bell spent 10 years as president of CARE USA, one of the world's largest private relief and development organizations. He has been a senior research fellow at Harvard University's Hauser Center for Nonprofit Organizations since 2007.
Bell earned his master's in public affairs from Princeton in 1964. He received the James Madison Medal, the University’s top honor for graduate alumni, in 2002.
The lecture is sponsored by the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and the school's Office of Graduate Career Services.
