Talk addresses religious freedom and foreign policy

Thomas Farr, a former U.S. Foreign Service official, will present a talk titled "The Widow's Torment: International Religious Freedom and American Foreign Policy" at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, March 4, in 16 Robertson Hall.

Farr is the author "World of Faith and Freedom: Why International Religious Liberty is Vital to American National Security." He served for 21 years in the Foreign Service, where he specialized in strategic military policy, political affairs and religious freedom. Farr currently is a visiting scholar at Georgetown University.

The event is sponsored by the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and the Center for the Study of Religion as part of the "Crossroads of Religion and Politics" series.
