University closed for non-essential staff; classes held as scheduled

Due to the snow storm, Princeton University is closed for non-essential staff until 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26. Critical and essential employees should report to work at their normal duty times. Academic classes will proceed as scheduled.

A definition of critical and essential services employees is available on the Office of Human Resources' emergency weather policy.

With a winter storm warning still in effect, students, faculty and staff are advised to check the Princeton home page for weather-related updates.

Campus opening and closing information also is available on the University's weather emergency hotline, (609) 258-SNOW.

In addition, the University maintains an Emergency Preparedness website. The environmental health and safety and facilities offices have published a list of tips on pedestrian safety during the winter.

The National Weather Service provides weather updates for central New Jersey on its website. In addition, the New Jersey Red Cross offers winter storm preparation and safety tips online.
