Video feature: 'New Perspectives: A Journey to Nicaragua and Honduras'

Tasnim Shamma, of the class of 2011, created a video highlighting the experiences of 16 Princeton undergraduate students who traveled with the Office of Religious Life to Nicaragua and Honduras this summer. Rahul Subramaniam, above, class of 2011, said the trip helped him appreciate how interconnected the world is.

A group of 16 Princeton undergraduates traveled to Nicaragua and Honduras this August and September to learn about the religious, social and political situations in both countries with the Office of Religious Life and Witness for Peace, a nonprofit group.

Alison Boden, dean of religious life and the chapel, leads an international tour at the end of each summer for Princeton students to look at religion, human rights and social change.

Tasnim Shamma, of the class of 2011, created this video reflecting the dean's and students' experiences, including visiting a woman who made a living from food she found in a dump and banana farmers who are protesting use of a toxic pesticide.
