Snow delays opening for non-critical staff until 11 a.m.

Due to the snow storm, Princeton University has delayed its opening until 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 27, for non-essential staff. All critical and essential employees should report to work at their normal duty times. There are no classes scheduled because of winter break.

A definition of critical and essential services employees is available on the Office of Human Resources' emergency weather policy.

Students, faculty and staff are advised to check the Princeton home page or call (609) 258-SNOW for weather-related updates.

In addition, the University maintains an Emergency Preparedness website. The environmental health and safety and facilities offices have published a list of tips on pedestrian safety during the winter.

The National Weather Service provides weather updates for central New Jersey on its website. In addition, the New Jersey Red Cross offers winter storm preparation and safety tips online.
