UPDATE: Building occupants return after gas leak

Occupants have returned to Princeton University campus buildings that were evacuated due to a gas leak earlier this afternoon, according to the Department of Public Safety.

Occupants of the Friend Center, the Computer Science Building, 185 Nassau St. (Lewis Center for the Arts) and 41 William St. (Princeton University Press and the Program in Teacher Preparation) were temporarily evacuated as a precaution after workers in the vicinity of William and Charlton streets ruptured a gas line.   No injuries were reported. Occupants returned after the Princeton Fire Department confirmed that no gas had collected in the buildings.
