Video feature: 'Chemistry at Princeton — Profiles of Young Chemists'

Chemistry index

Fourth-year chemistry graduate student Julia Kalow followed a childhood interest in science to Princeton, where she focuses her research on fluorination and using reactions to create useful molecules. Kalow discusses her research in the first of Princeton's "Profiles of Young Chemists" video series.

The "Profiles of Young Chemists" video series highlights graduate and postdoctoral students in Princeton's Department of Chemistry conducting research in various areas of chemistry. In the first video, graduate student Julia Kalow discusses her journey from a childhood interest in science to her work at Princeton creating reactions that produce useful molecules. Her work takes advantage of shared, core University resources such as the instruments in the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Laboratory, which can provide detailed information about the structure, dynamics and chemical environment of molecules.

More news about the chemistry department, including the second video in the "Young Chemists" series, can be found on the department's website.
