University fire alarm system fully back to normal operations

The University fire alarm system was fully restored to normal operational status Saturday night.
Although the alarms themselves were working in all campus and off-campus locations without interruption, the system that automatically reports alarms to the Department of Public Safety went offline for a time at some off-campus locations.
Once the reporting system was restored and tested, Public Safety informed off-campus residents via email. Dormitories and other buildings on campus were never affected.
