Polling stations moved to Jadwin Gym; limited parking Nov. 6

Due to power outages in the Princeton area, many polling places have been relocated and voters from municipal districts 1, 2, 4, 14, 15, 16 and 20 will be voting in Jadwin Gym from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 6.

Parking in the handicapped section and first five rows in Lot 21 near Jadwin Gym will be reserved all day for voters. Additional parking for voters will be available off Fitzrandolph Road, across from Lot 21, from where voters can walk or take a shuttle to Jadwin Gym. Members of the University community who usually park in Lot 21 are encouraged to park in West Garage.

Residents of the Princeton University campus can find the location of their voting districts and polling stations for the Nov. 6 General Election Day through an online map. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

This is the first general election of the newly consolidated Princeton Borough and Township and will be to elect federal, state and local officials.

All the voting districts have changed. Now, instead of being part of five districts, the majority of the University campus will be in the new District No. 7 and will vote at the Icahn Laboratory. Those residing in the eating clubs will now vote in the new District No. 8 at the Computer Science Building.

Special note to those who live in Stanworth Apartments and vote in District 9: Because of power outages, many polling places in town have been relocated. Those who live in Stanworth will now vote in the John Witherspoon Middle School Gymnasium, 217 Walnut Lane.

Made available by the Offices of Community and Regional Affairs and the Dean of Undergraduate Students, the map shows the voting districts, as well as the location of the polling stations in each.

All students should bring their Princeton University ID card for identification.

Additional voting information for New Jersey residents is available on the New Jersey Division of Elections website. For more information about local election, please call the Princeton municipal clerk's office at 609-924-5704.
