Alison Frank Johnson, a professor of history and associate director of the Center for History and Economics at Harvard University, will speak on "The Strange, Sad Case of Mara Illic: Slavery and Conversion at the Meeting of Two Empires," at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, in Burr Hall, Room 216. The event is presented by the Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies' research community "Empires: Domination, Collaboration and Resistance."
