Porter named assistant vice president for development operations

Jaime Porter, who has worked in fundraising for more than 20 years at several institutions, has been named assistant vice president for development operations at Princeton University.

In this new position in Princeton's Office of Development, she will oversee four areas: information strategy, events, communications and stewardship. Her appointment is effective Jan. 21.

"Jaime has extensive experience managing teams and overseeing advancement services and donor relations programs," said Elizabeth Boluch Wood, vice president for development. "In this post-campaign period, we look forward to tapping her expertise to strengthen strategic planning and management in key areas of the operation."

Porter currently is executive director of development for the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. She also has worked at NPR, Carnegie Mellon University and Colby College.

A graduate of Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, Porter was a founding member of the Association for Donor Relations Professionals and a board member of the Association of Advancement Services Professionals.

In June, the University concluded Aspire, a five-year campaign that raised $1.88 billion. The Office of Development continues to seek funds for continuing needs coming out of the campaign and for new University priorities.
