Alexander to give Toni Morrison Lectures

Wednesday and Thursday, April 24 and 25, 2013, 5:30 p.m. Wallace Hall, Room 300

Poet, essayist, playwright and teacher Elizabeth Alexander will deliver the Toni Morrison Lectures "'Don't Forget to Feed the Loas': Near Ancestry in Contemporary Black Arts" in two parts at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, April 24 and 25, in Wallace Hall, Room 300. The talks will focus on the work of recently deceased Eritrean-American painter Ficre Ghebreyesus and the painterly language of "near ancestry" in his and other black diaspora art.
