Farmers Market returns to campus for spring
The Princeton Campus Farmers Market at Firestone Plaza will return this spring for five weeks, open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesdays, April 17-May 15.
Members of the University and local communities will have an opportunity to purchase fresh locally grown produce and other goods from area farmers and businesses that use sustainable practices. Expected vendors will provide a range of items including organic fruits and vegetables, grass-fed beef and lamb, free-range poultry and eggs, organic sandwiches and salads.
The farmers market was launched in 2007 by Greening Princeton, a student organization devoted to improving environmental sustainability, and is staffed by volunteers from the group. The market is cosponsored by Dining Services, the Office of Community and Regional Affairs, the Office of Sustainability, the High Meadows sustainability Fund, the Princeton Environmental Institute and the Undergraduate Student Government Projects Board.
