Alexander Street detour to begin June 6

Starting at 5 a.m. Thursday, June 6, Alexander Street will be closed to thru traffic from College Road to University Place. This closure is expected to remain in place until the end of July.

Vehicular traffic will be detoured onto University Place. A temporary traffic signal has been installed at the intersection of College Road and University Place that will be operational while the detour is in effect; this signal will begin to operate on Thursday, June 6.

In addition, the sidewalk on the north side of University Place from Alexander Street to the crosswalk at the Berlind Theatre will be closed to pedestrians.
