FACULTY HONOR: Allais and Lins named Radcliffe Institute fellows

Lucia Allais, an assistant professor of architecture, and Pamela Lins, a lecturer in visual arts and the Lewis Center for the Arts, are among the 50 artists and scholars named as fellows at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University for the 2013-14 academic year. Allais will undertake a book project, "Destructions of Design: Architectural Preservation in the Age of Total War." Lins, an artist who uses sculpture, painting, fiction writing and gardening in her work, will incorporate architectural models seen in a photograph taken around 1931 at Vkhutemas, the Soviet Russian art and technical school, into her project titled "Come Back Volume and Space."
