"R&R(…&R)," an exhibition by Susanne Slavic, the Andrew W. Mellon Professor of Art at Carnegie Mellon University, is on view through Feb. 13 in the Bernstein Gallery, Robertson Hall. The exhibition examines the magnitude of loss and recovery through "found" photographs on the Internet depicting war-torn regions, to which Slavic has added culturally specific "restorative" elements. For example, in "Stretch," Islamic angels instead of mechanics tend to a charred car.
