RSVP by Feb. 19 for coverage of Sonia Sotomayor and Hunter R. Rawlings III at Princeton University

This advisory is to alert members of the news media that Sonia Sotomayor, Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, and Hunter R. Rawlings III, President of the Association of American Universities, will speak during Princeton University’s annual Alumni Day on Saturday, Feb. 22.

Rawlings, a 1970 Princeton graduate alum and the winner of this year's James Madison Medal, the top award for graduate alumni, will give a lecture at 9 a.m. Sotomayor, a member of Princeton's Class of 1976 and winner of this year’s Woodrow Wilson Award, the top honor for undergraduate alumni, will give a talk at 10:15 discussing Princeton’s informal motto, “In the Nation’s Service,” and how living that motto has guided her life.

Alumni Day is not open to the general public, and this advisory is only for news coverage.

Registration is required and members of the news media who plan to attend should email the full name and contact information for each person to Mike Caddell no later than 5 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 19. Additional information will be provided to those who confirm attendance.
