More meningitis B vaccine clinics will be held
The University will hold another meningitis B vaccine clinic from 3 to 7 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, April 28-29 and from 1 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, in Frist Campus Center, Level B, multipurpose room. Eligible individuals may receive the first or second dose of the vaccine.
Individuals who received only one dose of the vaccine at previous campus clinics are still at an increased risk of getting meningitis. Because protection provided by the first dose declines over time, two doses of the vaccine are needed for full immunity.
Please review the information about eligible campus groups, requirements to receive the vaccine and other clinic details on the University's meningitis website.
