UPDATE: Normal activities resume at Dillon Gym

12:15 P.M. UPDATE -- A small fire was extinguished and normal activities resumed at Dillon Gym shortly after noon.

Dillon Gym was evacuated at about 11:45 a.m. due to an electrical fire in the martial arts room. The Princeton Fire Department and the fire marshal responded. No injuries were reported.

Small fire in McCormick Hall extinguished .

A small fire in an office on the third floor of McCormick Hall prompted the evacuation of about 15 people from the building at 5:37 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4. The building houses the Princeton University Art Museum. The fire alarm was triggered by an area rug that made contact with a heating element. The small fire was extinguished by a museum security officer.

Thomas Lab re-opened after small fire .

Occupants were allowed back inside Thomas Laboratory on Princeton's campus shortly before 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 23, after a small oven fire prompted the evacuation of the building.

Smoke condition cleared in Fine Hall, Feb. 16 .

Operations at Fine Hall have resumed, and there were no injuries related to a report of smoke in the building at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16. Fire personnel responded to Fine Hall shortly after 5 p.m. after a fire alarm went off because of a smoke condition inside a pump room on the building's seventh floor.

UPDATE: Small fire in Jadwin Hall extinguished .

A small fire on a heating element in the glassblower shop in Jadwin Hall prompted the evacuation of about 75 people from the building at 6:44 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1. The building was cleared for occupation shortly before 8 p.m.  

UPDATE: Lawrence Apartments building cleared for occupation .

A small fire on a heating element in the glassblower shop in Jadwin Hall prompted the evacuation of about 75 people from the building at 6:33 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1.

Lawrence Apartments building evacuated due to odor of gas .

Shortly before 10 a.m. the Princeton Fire Department responded to a report of the odor of gas at Lawrence Apartments. A resident in one of the buildings reported the odor to University staff, who notified the Fire Department after detecting gas levels. Four individuals were evacuated. No injuries were reported. PSE&G has been notified and is responding.
