FACULTY HONOR: Glaude elected vice president of American Academy of Religion

Eddie Glaude Jr., the William S. Tod Professor of Religion and African American Studies and chair of the Center for African American Studies, has been elected as vice president of the American Academy of Religion. The academy, whose membership comprises teachers and research scholars, is dedicated to furthering knowledge of religion and religious institutions in all their forms and manifestations and to promoting the reflection of religion in the central role it plays in social, political and economic events, as well as in the lives of communities and individuals.
