Princeton Police receive non-credible bomb threat

The Princeton Police Department received a non-specific bomb threat that was made through an anonymous phone call and made reference to the Princeton University campus.

Following the call at about 5:20 p.m., officers from Princeton Police and the Department of Public Safety conducted preliminary investigations and determined that the threat was not credible.

Princeton University's Department of Public Safety has confirmed that there is no threat to the campus following an investigation that ended with the location of a male student found with a non-functional firearm in the early morning hours of Saturday, March 7. Public Safety at 1:20 a.m. issued an "all clear" message to the campus community after first notifying students earlier in the morning of an unconfirmed report of a weapon on campus.

Princeton University's Department of Public Safety has confirmed that there is no threat to the campus following an investigation that ended with the determination that an individual was walking on campus with a toy gun. After first notifying the campus earlier in the morning of an unconfirmed report of a possible weapon on campus, the University at 8:34 a.m. posted an "all clear" message to its home page, followed by a message sent to the campus by Public Safety.
