Princeton University closed Tuesday because of snowstorm

Because of severe weather, Princeton University will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 27, for non-essential personnel. Students are on break and classes are not in session.

Only employees in essential services roles should report to work. Those driving to campus are asked to park in either the North or West garages. 

TigerTransit buses will not run.

University libraries except Mudd Manuscript Library will be open, as will the Frist Campus Center and Whitman College dining hall.

Athletic facilities including campus recreation facilities will be closed.

University officials will continue to monitor conditions. An update on resumption of normal campus operations will be posted to the University homepage and the on the SNOW line, (609)-258-SNOW, by 5 p.m.

Members of the University community can manage how they receive non-emergency messages, including weather-related notifications, via the Princeton Telephone and Email Notification System (PTENS). PTENS allows authorized Princeton officials to send information simultaneously to individuals via landline phones, cellular phones, text messages and e-mail.
