FACULTY AWARD: McBride receives Rosalind Franklin Young Investigator Award

Carolyn "Lindy" McBride, a Princeton University assistant professor of ecology and evolutionary biology and the Princeton Neuroscience Institute, was named one of two recipients of the 2016 Rosalind Franklin Young Investigator Award presented by Yale University's Gruber Foundation. McBride will receive a three-year, $75,000 award intended to support the work of early-career female geneticists from anywhere in the world. McBride, who joined the Princeton faculty in 2014, was recognized for her multidisciplinary work to understand the genetic basis of mosquito behavior, which, according to the foundation, "has been instrumental in establishing the mosquito as a model system to understand the genetic basis of behavior."
