Joshua Billings, assistant professor of classics, has been awarded the Charles J. The prize, named in honor of a long-time member and generous benefactor of the Society for Classical Studies (SCS), is awarded for outstanding contributions to classical scholarship published by members of the association within the preceding three years. Billings will accept the award on Jan. 8 at the annual SCS meeting in San Francisco.
