UPDATE: Power outage briefly affects some University buildings

A power outage in the town of Princeton on Wednesday evening briefly affected a number of buildings along the western edge of the Princeton campus and several University-owned residences off campus.

A tree fell in the town of Princeton near the intersection of Mercer Road and Hale Drive, knocking down four power poles. PSE&G crews restored power about 7:30 p.m.

The power was out to campus buildings and nearby residences in a line stretching from the intersection of Mercer Road and Nassau Street, along University Place and Alexander Road.
