The University is welcoming the Class of 2020 to campus this week to officially begin the first chapter of its Princeton story.

First-year students arrive Saturday, Sept. 3, to move in to their residential colleges and begin Orientation. In this welcome video, students in the Class of 2020 can envision what the next four years may look like as they tour parts of campus with the Princeton Tiger.

This is the first year all incoming students will participate in a unified Orientation program featuring small-group experiences on and off campus. A complete Orientation calendar is available on the Your Path to Princeton website.

Orientation kicks-off with a weekend of campus events welcoming new students to their residential colleges and to the University community. On Monday, Sept. 5 through Friday, Sept. 9, students break into small groups to participate in Community Action volunteer work, Outdoor Action camping trips and other activities, or campus workshops for fall sport athletes.

Programs for incoming students continue on campus the following week, including: presentations on academic success and campus life; the University's annual Opening Exercises ceremony; a Class of 2020 Pre-Read Assembly; residential college dinners; a Step Sing at Blair Arch; a student organizations activities fair and much more.

The first day of classes for all undergraduates is Wednesday, Sept. 14, and Orientation events for first-year students run through Friday, Sept. 16.
