Into the wild: Global Seminar takes budding filmmakers to Kenya's plains

Over the course of six weeks in the global seminar "Documentary Filmmaking in Kenya: The Art of Science Storytelling," 15 Princeton undergraduates and five Kenyan students — some of whom had never before picked up a video camera — were trained in digital video production, screenwriting and editing to produce short documentaries.

Video feature: 'David Dobkin: Amateur Artist'

A unique exhibition of sculptures, photo collages and site-specific installations has been created by Princeton University Dean of the Faculty David Dobkin, a self-identified amateur artist who collects and creatively repurposes a vast array of things from daily life. The exhibition, presented by the Lewis Center for the Arts and titled "Myself, I Think We Should Keep Collecting Titles," is on display through Oct. 4 at the Lucas Gallery at 185 Nassau St.

Eisgruber, Trustees approve comprehensive strategy to increase diversity

The Board of Trustees and President Christopher L. Eisgruber have unanimously endorsed a report by a special trustee committee that recommends a comprehensive strategy to increase the diversity and inclusivity of the Princeton University community, with a particular focus on graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, faculty and senior administrators. The proposed strategy builds on Princeton's significant advances over more than five decades while focusing on areas where more could be accomplished.

Eisgruber invites new students to embrace the 'honor world' at Princeton

As Princeton University President Christopher L. Eisgruber welcomed the incoming Class of 2017 at Opening Exercises on Sept. 8, he told students they shared an important connection.
