Women's Mentoring Group
Dear Mathey Women,
As WOMAN enters its third year, we’ve grown to believe that the program's main goal is to connect women who become friends and mentors simultaneously. They help you through your time at Princeton and teach you lessons that last a lifetime. In the WOMAN program you are matched by similar interests with a member from each Princeton class (Frosh, Soph, Jun, Senior, and Grad) in families. These families meet as often as they like and can focus on whatever the families desire. Meetings are often over things like ice cream or brunches. Entire WOMAN meetings are scheduled about once a month, and these larger meetings range from game nights to yoga sessions to panels about eating and housing options on campus. The events are planned by different families each month, giving everyone the opportunity to learn how to plan an event.
WOMAN isn’t all business; it’s really about the incredible friendships you make. As you'll come to realize, Princeton has many traditions that can seem a little overwhelming if you don't have anyone to help you through them. The smaller groups lend themselves to the intimacy of close friendships and the larger groups to a broader sense of campus familiarity. Our family members were always happy to talk about school, extracurriculars, homesickness, the business world, etc. They really became the friends and mentors we were hoping for.
