Yarrow Dunham is an Associate Research Scholar in Psychology and teaches Developmental Psychology and Introduction to Psychology courses at Princeton. A social and developmental psychologist, he is interested in the developmental origins of social cognitive processes. A major focus of his work has been the development of implicit social attitudes and stereotypes. This research has suggested that implicit preferences for the in-group do not have to be learned; rather, they may emerge directly from the process of inter-group categorization.
