Welcome to Mathey, the best residential college at Princeton University. Even the other residential colleges would agree...really they would. I've worked here at Princeton University for nine years, six as a lecturer in the religion department precepting classes in ethics, philosophy of religion, and early Christianity, and the last three as the director of student life here at Mathey.
I studied economics as an undergrad at Stanford University and ran around in a speedo as a member of the diving team. I spent two long arduous years working for an options trading company in NYC before heading off to Princeton Seminary. I emerged ten years later with a couple of masters degrees and a PhD in philosophy and theology. My dissertation was on Soren Kierkegaard's anthropology.
My wife Kim has actually put up with me for about 20yrs now. I have three kids: Colin, Tim, and Kathryn who love to eat dinner here at the Mathey Dining Hall. When I'm not here at Mathey or home working around the house, I'm usually out coaching baseball...a lot of baseball.
As the director of student life, I supervise the RCA's and manage the crisis and discipline issues. I also supervise the college council as well as serve as the agent for such Princeton characters as the Mathey College Crier, Barry Bingo, and the Eager Beaver.
