During my sophomore year, I was between Geosciences, English, and Philosophy and I had to work hard to find the right people to talk to about the pros and cons of each. I have had two professors at Princeton whose classes have fundamentally affected me in ways I could have not imagined. I think the key to success and, more importantly, happiness at Princeton is finding your niche. This requires careful planning but also an adventurous spirit. Some of my favorite classes have in fact been ones I took to fulfill EC and SA requirements! “You don’t know what you don’t know” is a mantra I have come to live by.
I rowed my freshman year on the Varsity Women’s Crew team and I won a silver medal at Eastern Sprints. I also have done Princeton Model UN and the Princeton International Crisis Simulation. As far as work experience goes, I have taught sculling, or single-person rowing, at my hometown YMCA for two summers to children ages 13-17.
