My name is Erin Byrne, and I'm a senior majoring in both French & Italian. Although my major definitely has its perks, some of my favorite classes have actually been Mapping the Universe with J. Richard Gott, Practical Ethics with Peter Singer, Microeconomics with Harvey Rosen and Children's Literature with William Gleason, none of which were in my department.
I like having a bit too much to do on campus, and have managed to get involved with quite a few student organizations over the past three years. I was formerly the Co-Communications Director on Mathey College Council, and I am now a 2013 Class Senator and the Chief Designer for USG. I am the former President and current Shadow President (don't ask) of the Ski & Snowboard Team, and this past year, I co-directed Service in Style. I have also worked as a print designer for the Student Design Agency since September of my freshman year, and have had summer New York-based design internships both at Christie's and at Quidsi, a subsidiary of Amazon.
Apart from all of that: I'm a Small World Coffee fanatic, a self-taught designer, an overly-confident skier, and unduly proud of my few Foursquare mayorships. Shoot me an email if you ever want to meet up to discuss classes in which you're enrolled, classes you might be interested in taking, classes you're not interested in taking, distribution requirements, study abroad options, or just to introduce yourself!
