Christy Chen
Greetings, friend! Welcome to Princeton and Mathey College. My name is Christine and I hope you will come to love this orange bubble as much as I do. I am one of the rare but proud seniors concentrating in the Geosciences, an interdisciplinary major integrating physics, chemistry, biology, math, and computer science to study the intricate workings of Earth’s systems. Friends know me as the one who is head-over-heels obsessed with her major—and it’s true! My passion for geosciences and scientific research has taken me around the world, from the star dunes of Death Valley to the vast remoteness of the Australian outback. This past summer, I spent two months in Utah leading my own, independent field season conducting senior thesis research on the remnants of an ancient glacial lake and its implications for past climate change.
