Hello and welcome to Mathey College!
My name is Juanhe but most people call me TJ. I grew up on the tiny tropical island of Singapore. I'm a senior in the Math department but I've also done some work in Philosophy and East Asian Studies. I spent the summer after freshman year in Seoul attending one of Princeton's Global Seminars, and the summer after junior year in Kyoto at the Kyoto Consortium for Japanese Studies Summer Program. I speak Mandarin Chinese, and have taken Japanese and Korean language classes here at Princeton.
Outside of classes, I've spent some time with Princeton Chinese Theatre and Sympoh Urban Arts Crew. I also serve as a Mathey peer tutor, and am a member of the Committee for Undergraduate Admissions and Financial Aid. I'm a huge fan of (among other things) foreign-language films, Halo Pub, Khalil Fong, Haruki Murakami, Arsenal Football Club, W. S. Merwin, linguini vongole, and cycling around the campus at daybreak.
