Having considered a variety of departments and programs before finally sticking with the academic plan I have now, I have gained a lot of information about all kinds of programs here. As a student who started her Princeton career as a science-oriented person who was taking the HUM sequence, I would encourage such academic experimentation, especially during one’s first semester!
I volunteer weekly at the pediatrics wing at the University Medical Center and am also a marketing manager and one of the starting members of RE-VERB, a non-profit clothing company founded by Princeton students and alumni that cooperates with a variety of causes and philanthropic organizations. Since the end of sophomore year I’ve been spending a lot of my time in the MOL department’s labs. I work under Professor Yibin Kang, using transgenic mouse models to research the metastasis of breast and prostate cancer.
