Hello! I'm a graduate student in the English department. I grew up in the city of Brighton, on the south coast of England, but now consider myself a Londoner (at least, that's where I go for my holidays).
I studied English Literature at Cambridge University and did a master’s degree in Renaissance Studies at the University of London. In two years out before coming to Princeton I worked in publishing, wrote several plays for the theatre, taught at a primary school, and blogged about art.
I'm now in my second-year of the graduate program in English, where I've been organizing a contemporary poetry reading group and helping to arrange for poets to visit Princeton. My main academic interests are lyric poetry and theatre, and the relationship of literature to things like philosophy and politics.
2013-14 is my first year as an RGS and I'm excited to get to know everyone; with Jill Stockwell, I'm resident in the Edwards Collective, so look out for the stuff we'll be organizing this year.
