Hi there! My name is Megan Steffen, and I'm a second year graduate student in the Anthropology Department. I'm originally from Petaluma, California, and I've studied previously at Fudan University, the Beijing Institute of Education, National Taiwan Normal University, and Beijing Normal University. I got my B.A. from the University Professors Program at Boston University where I majored in Visual Rhetoric and Chinese Studies, which is basically as weird as it sounds. When I'm not thinking about nationalism or Chinese advertisements, I like to play football (American), listen to radio hip-hop, and talk to engineers talk about their research. I'm currently trying to catalog and collect photos of all the tiger gargoyles on campus, so if you have a favorite or know of one in a hard-to-see spot, please be sure to let me know!
