Continuing Support

Teaching Support for International AIs

We would like to let you know that the English Language Program now offers services for graduate students who are currently teaching.  If you feel that your teaching might benefit from additional English language support, we offer individual meetings and/or classroom visitsto all types of classes (lecture, lab, or precept).  We will provide feedback on the effectiveness of your spoken English in the classroom setting.  You can contact us at any point during the semester.  The individual meetings and class visits are not evaluative and the details about our meetings will be discussed with only you.

English Discussion Groups for International Graduate Students and Post-Docs

The English Language Program invites you to join a discussion group for international students and post docs.  Our discussion groups give students the opportunity to meet in small groups to discuss a variety of topics.  Participants choose topics and lead the discussions.  An ELP instructor facilitates and offers constructive feedback on language issues.  The focus of the group can be expanded to practice presentation skills as well.
