Continuing Support

Teaching Support for International AIs

We would like to let you know that the English Language Program now offers services for graduate students who are currently teaching.  If you feel that your teaching might benefit from additional English language support, we offer individual meetings and/or classroom visitsto all types of classes (lecture, lab, or precept).  We will provide feedback on the effectiveness of your spoken English in the classroom setting.  You can contact us at any point during the semester.  The individual meetings and class visits are not evaluative and the details about our meetings will be discussed with only you.

Improve Your English: Discussion Groups for International Graduate Students and Post-Docs

The English Language Program is offering discussion groups for international graduate students and post docs who would like to continue to improve their communication skills in English.
Participants have appreciated the opportunity to meet in small groups to discuss a variety of topics.  An American undergraduate will join the discussion to offer his/her perspective.  The focus of the group could be expanded to practice presentation skills as well.

Our discussion groups meet for one hour on Wednesdays and Thursdays. They will run for six weeks.  Discussion groups will meet in 87 Prospect, Room 063 (87 Prospect is directly behind 91 Prospect).
