Written for performance on Good Friday 1724 in Leipzig, the same day in 2011 sees a performance of Bach's extraordinary Johannes-Passion in Richardson Auditorium. The Princeton University Glee Club's annual concert in memory of its former director Walter L. Nollner brings an exceptional cast of professional soloists and orchestra of baroque specialists to the campus where Arthur Mendel's scholarship did so much to restore Bach's work to its intended state. With soloists Kiera Duffy, Jay Carter, Dann Coakwell, Douglas Williams and Matthew Anderson (Evangelist).
