PSO Soundtracks: The Onegin Project
PSO Soundtracks presents the lecture The Onegin Project, Premiering a 76-Year-Old Prokofiev Work on Jan. 25 at 4:30 pm in the Princeton Public Library at 65 Witherspoon Street. Princeton University professor of Slavic languages and literature Caryl Emerson tells the fascinating story of unearthing and re-creating for production a lost Prokofiev project from the 1930s: the Soviet-banned dramatization of Alexander Pushkin's Eugene Onegin, complete with music and dance.
