This is the first installment of the Yusuf Trilogy. “EGG” is a Turkish-Greek coproduction
supported by Eurimages, Greek Film Center and Turkish
Ministry of Culture.
The 'Poet' Yusuf learns about the death of his mother Zehra and goes backto his village where he had not been for years. In his mother's house, ayoung girl, his cousin. Ayla, awaits him. Yusuf had not been aware of Ayla,
who had been living with his mother for five years.
Shown at various International and National Film Festivals, including Cannes,
winner of several prizes, including Best Director, Best Actress, and Best Picture.

This is the second installment of the Yusuf Trilogy, following the 'Poet' Yusuf'slife in the village where he runs his mother's milk farm.
Nominated for the Golden Lion Award, Venice Film Festival, 2008; winnerof the FIPRESCI Prize, Instanbul International Film Festival, 2009

This is the third in the Yusuf Trilogy, which starts with Yusuf as a young
boy: the order of sequence is reversed. In Bal, the quiet life of Yusuf as a
boy and his family is endangered when his father does not return home
from his work collecting honey in the forest.
Nominated at various festivals, winner of the UNESCO Award in 2010
and the Golden Bear Prize at the Berlin International Film Festival in
2010. It was awarded the Jury Prize at the RiverRun International Film
Festival in 2011.
