How to rip a DVD using yadeX for use in FCPro

1. Insert DVD into computer. Open yadeX. Ensure that the correct region is selected for “RCE Encryp- tion”.

2. Open MPegStreamclip. Select File > Open DVD and select the disc you wish to copy. You can save time by ripping only specific scenes.

3. Exporting Files in FinalCut Pro

Select the timeline you wish to export.

1. File>Export>Using Quicktime Conversion.
2. Select a Format.

A. For MOV, select Quicktime Movie. Click Options to ensure H.264 is selected under Video.
B. For WMV, select Windows Media. Click Options if you wish to select a two-pass encoding method
C. For MP4, select MPEG-4. Click Options to ensure the file format is MP4 not MP4 (ISMA) and select
    a suitable resolution. Recommend selecting H.264 under Video Format.
D. For AVI (not recommended – there isn’t a good codec here for AVI so it will either be big or ugly),
    select AVI. Select Options. Under Video, select Settings if you wish to change the bitrate.
