Academic Advising for Juniors
The independent work required of juniors provides students with the opportunity to work closely with members of the faculty and to pursue intellectual interests that go beyond the scope of formal course work. Juniors should remain in close contact with their departmental representative and independent work adviser in order to be aware of important dates and deadlines well as internships, scholarships, and other opportunities particular to their own programs and courses of study. Juniors are encouraged to apply early for grants, fellowships, and scholarships and to review their degree progress. Residential college deans and directors of studies provide guidance and support regarding matters not specific to the major.
