Student agencies
One aspect of Princeton’s uniqueness is its Princeton Student Agencies (PSA) program. PSA is one of the oldest and largest agency programs in the country. Agencies are student-run businesses providing products and services to the campus community and jobs for more than 250 students.
Each agency has a student manager as well as an assistant manager who are responsible for their agency's business operations. All agencies employ undergraduate students in many positions including marketing, distribution, business accounting, e-commerce management, sales, inventory maintenance, customer relations, quality control, transportation, computer programming and Web design.
Students may also wish to start their own student agency. All that is necessary to begin is a bright idea for a product or a service and a lot of entrepreneurial initiative. Students may propose new agency ideas at the Student Agency Office by submitting a general application, business plan and budget. Students may also become manager of an existing agency when those positions become available. Working in the student agency system gives students the opportunity to gain sales experience and management skills certain to make them more attractive job applicants at the end of their four years at Princeton.
