Welcome to New ODUS Staff
We are very happy to welcome Joe Ramirez ‘07 as the new ODUS Program Coordinator starting July 6, 2010. Joe will work closely with the ODUS staff to advise student organizations and the four classes on budgetary matters and to provide assistance with special projects and events.
When he was a student at Princeton, Joe could be found dancing in the Wilcox or Bloomberg studios (there was no Whitman studio then!); taking anthropology seminars in Aaron Burr Hall; dining in Wilson College, Frist, or Colonial; delivering papers early in the morning; or working as a research assistant for a faculty member in the Spanish department. That’s, of course, when he wasn’t participating in a program abroad, including Princeton-in-Cuba, an international internship in Costa Rica, and a semester abroad in Spain.
After graduation, Joe decided that he loved his Princeton experience so much he couldn’t find it in him to return to his home state of Nebraska. Instead, he stayed in Tigertown, working in the Princeton admission office, and later, the development office.
Joe looks forward to joining the ODUS team and to working closely with all of the fantastic student organizations!
Devon Wessman-Smerdon ‘05 h‘10, will be leaving ODUS to attend graduate school this fall. Devon has been with us for three years as the Program Coordinator and has worked on a number of projects for student organizations, including developing online forms, launching the new ODUS website and creating leadership development opportunities. We wish her all the best at Harvard, where she will be pursuing a Master's degree in Higher Education and serving as a Freshman Proctor.
