OIP's Annual International Eye Photo Contest
Photography has long become the primary medium for recording our encounters with new places and cultures. One thinks immediately of the obligatory tourist snapshot--the same old photo of someone waving in front of a famous site. The International Photo Contest and Exhibition takes you beyond the average tourist perspective. It celebrates and encourages the creative eye of Princeton undergraduates in their attempts to capture the day-to-day realities and beauty of other countries. It is a perspective often visible only to those who stop and stay a while.
With that in mind, we encourage undergraduates to submit photos that tell a story about their time abroad, or that take a fresh perspective on the monuments, cityscapes, and landscapes they encountered, or that reveal an aspect of the culture within which they found themselves.
