Princeton senior Khameer Kidia, a French major from Harare, Zimbabwe, has been selected as one of Zimbabwe's Rhodes Scholars. The Rhodes Trust awards fellowships for graduate study at the University of Oxford to approximately 80 scholars from 14 regions around the world each year. Last month, senior Nicholas DiBerardino and alumnus Mark Jia were named two of this year's 32 American Rhodes scholars
Senior Veronica Shi, a classics concentrator, has been awarded the 2011 Daniel M. Sachs Class of 1960 Graduating Scholarship, one of the highest awards given to Princeton undergraduates. She plans to use the award to pursue postgraduate studies in Greek and Latin language and literature at Worcester College at the University of Oxford.
Nelson, who studied abroad in Russia during his junior year, is one of 31 American college students awarded 2011 Marshall Scholarships. Nelson will use the award to obtain two master's degrees, the first in the history of art at University College London and the second in modern European history at the University of Cambridge, focusing on German history and visual culture.
