Mica and Ahmet Ertegun Graduate Scholarship Programme in the Humanities
National Deadline: January 8, 2016 for Philosophy and January 22, 2016 for all other subjects.

Fields of Study: Classics (including classical archaeology); English Language and Literature; History (including history of art and the history of architecture); Linguistics, Philology and Phonetics; Medieval and Modern Languages (covering most European languages and their literature); Music; Oriental Studies (including Far Eastern and Middle Eastern Studies, and the study of a wide range of languages); Philosophy; and Theology.
Description: Approximately twelve Ertegun Scholars are selected to attend University of Oxford cost free (full university and college fees + living costs). At Oxford, Ertegun Scholars pursue one-year and two-year full-time Master’s degrees in diverse fields in the humanities.
Ertegun Scholars have the exclusive use of The Mica and Ahmet Ertegun House for the Study of the Humanities, a building in the heart of Oxford dedicated to study and research by Ertegun Scholars, and they are mentored by a full-time Ertegun Senior Scholar in Residence, an Oxford faculty member. Ertegun Scholars have access to a program of lectures, seminars, concerts and other activities designed especially for them.

- Candidates must be applying to start, and must meet the requirements for, a new graduate course at Oxford.
You apply for the scholarship at the same time as you apply to Oxford by selecting "Mica and Ahmet Ertegun Graduate Scholarships in the Humanities" in the Funding Section of the University's Graduate Application Form. You must also complete a supporting statement and upload it together with your Graduate Application Form by the application deadline in order for your application to be complete. In order to be considered for this scholarship, you must submit your application for graduate study by the required deadline and you must have been offered a place on your chosen program of study by the expected final decision date.
