Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA)

Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) is a U.S.-based non-profit dedicated to discovering what works to help the world’s poor. Using rigorous analytical techniques based on randomized controlled trial
methodologies, we design and evaluate innovative solutions to poverty, and work with donors and
practitioners to bring successful projects to scale. IIP interns in IPA's Bangladesh office will support two projects: increasing tax compliance and improving outcomes for external migrants.The IIP intern will work closely with academic researchers and field staff and will gain hands-on experience in designing and managing field surveys, data entry, cleaning, and analysis, coordinating with local partners, and producing reports and policy memos. Two placements have been created for International Internship Program (IIP) interns.
Previous work responsibilities (in the words of the previous IIP intern): developing training tools for teaching enumerators how to use tablets; supervising surveys in the field; mapping data using GIS; analyzing incoming survey data
